Troubleshooting:Aero preview and other mouse-overs disappear after a second Error

Aero preview and other mouse-overs disappear after a second

Original Title: Aero preview and other mouse-overs not working
When I place my mouse over running programs, the preview comes up for a second and then disappears.
Same happens in Outlook calendars when appointments are moused over.
Alt-Tab does the same thing, as does the Windows key + P for extending my display.
 Im not sure whats happening.
 Any help would be great.

Thank you.

It checks for common compatibility issues with running
Aero, such as your computer's color, theme, power settings, and your computer's video card.

I would suggest to uninstall\reinstall the video card from device manager and install the latest drivers from the computer manufacturer website.
To do so follow below steps:
 a.
Open Device Manager by clicking the Start button, then type
Device Manager in the search box.‌
b.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
c.
Look for the video card option, right click on it, and select
Uninstall.
d.
Reboot the computer.
e.
Once you boot the computer, update the latest drivers for your Video card from the manufacturer’s website.
