Arrow keys don't work in numeric keypad Tech Support

Arrow keys don't work in numeric keypad

The numeric keypad is locked into numbers mode in Facebook comment fields and a few other browser based apps.
The numeric key pad arrows work fine in this comment field and in some other browser comment fields.
Any ideas of what I can do to get my arrow
key functionality back?

Tried changing keyboards but no difference.
Also deleted/updated/changed keyboard rivers to no effect.
using Win 7 keyboard driver with basic keyboard.

Hi,
1)    Are you using Internet Explorer?
2)    Is the issue specific to the arrow key?
3)    Do you remember making any changes to the computer prior to the issue?

You may try the following methods to check the status of the issue.
Method 1:
Set the computer to clean boot state to check to check for software conflicts.
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135
Note: When the troubleshooting is over do not forget to reset the computer to normal startup.
Follow step 7 in the above article.

Method 2:
Use Internet Explorer in No Add-ons mode and check if you can edit homepage settings.
a)       Click on Start.
b)       Click on All Programs.
c)       Click on Accessories.
d)       Click on System Tools.
e)       Click on Internet Explorer (No Add-ons).

If this resolves the issue, follow these steps to isolate the browser add-on that is causing the issue:
a)       Click Tools, and then click Internet Options.

b)       Click the Programs tab, and then click Manage add-ons.
c)       Click an add-on in the Name list, and then click Disable.
d)       Repeat step c until you identify the add-on that is causing the issue.
If this resolves the issue, this could be caused by an adware installed as Add-on, refer:
